DaVita Inc. has announced its 2017 awards that recognized the company's commitment to its teammates, patients and the health care community.

“These awards and recognitions are a testament to our teammates’ commitment to improving the lives of our patients and creating positive ripples of change in our communities,” Kent Thiry, chairman and CEO of DaVita, said in a company press release.

The 2017 awards included Fortune magazine naming DaVita among its World’s Most Admired Companies. This year was the 10th consecutive year and 11th year overall that the company has appeared on the list. In addition to appearing on the list, DaVita ranked first in quality of products/services in the health care medical facilities category.

The Denver Post recognized the company as a Top Workplace for the sixth consecutive year. Further, a study conducted by the Harvard Business Review named DaVita as a 2017 Transformation 10 company. The publication identified S&P 500 and Global 500 companies that exemplified strategic transformation, impacted patients and its industry in the past decade and demonstrated potential to sustain continued transformation.

DaVita appeared among Training magazine's Top 125 for its exceptional training and leadership development programs. The company has also appeared on the list for 13 years in a row and ranked number 31 in 2017. Becker's Hospital Review also named DaVita among the Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare for the fourth year in a row.

Certified as a Freedom-Centered Workplace for the 10th consecutive year, DaVita received recognition on the WorldBlu list. The company achieved status as a 2017 Military Friendly Employer for the eighth consecutive year by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse Magazine. Since January 2010, DaVita has hired more than 3,000 veterans, offering transitional support for teammates with a military background.
