American Renal, Western Nephrology to open dialysis center in Colorado’s Vail Valley

American Renal Associates Holdings Inc., and Western Nephrology, one of the largest nephrology groups in Colorado, said they plan to open the Kidney Center of the Rockies in Avon, Colo. The outpatient dialysis facility is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2016. Patients will have multiple treatment options, including in-center hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis.
“With the planned opening of the Kidney Center of the Rockies, we are also pleased to introduce Dialysis at Ski – a concept designed to help traveling dialysis patients and their families plan vacations in the Vail Valley knowing that they will have the ability to receive their dialysis treatments in a location that is close, convenient and operated by highly-trained clinical staff,” said Michael Anger, MD, Chief Medical Officer at ARA and President of Western Nephrology. “The Kidney Center of the Rockies will give patients and their families the chance to experience the Colorado Mountains on a year-round basis.”
