Satellite Healthcare subsidiary launches Medicare Advantage plan
Nonprofit dialysis provider Satellite Healthcare has launched a new subsidiary called Satellite Health Plan Inc., which began enrolling patients in a new Medicare Advantage program.
Satellite Health Plan will become effective Jan.1 and will offer the same coverage as Medicare with additional benefits geared towards dialysis patients, Satellite said in a release. The plan is available to Santa Clara County, Calif. residents who have end-stage renal disease and are Medicare eligible. “Since opening our doors 40 years ago, Satellite Healthcare has focused on operating high-quality, patient-friendly dialysis centers that meet each patient’s long-term clinical care requirements,” said Marc Branson, executive vice president at Satellite Healthcare. “We view Satellite Health Plan as a way to further enhance our patients’ overall access to quality and convenient care.”
