Nationwide Laboratory Services announced that it has selected the new Beckman Coulter platform technology to upgrade their hematology, immunochemistry and auto chemistry departments.

"This new technology has superior precision, accuracy and turnaround times to benefit customers and patients," said Dr. Marvin Lessig, NLS lab director.

According to NLS, the equipment will lead to faster turnaround times of lab results to customers and will allow more time for clinicians to evaluate any needed patient interventions before their next treatment visit. NLS said it can now evaluate options for using different specimen tubes or requiring less blood sample volume to benefit patient care and clinician workload.
