Fresenius Medical Care AG won a U.S. appeals court ruling July 3 that ended a patent-infringement claim brought by Baxter International Inc. over touch screens on hemodialysis machines.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled that there is no longer any basis for Baxter’s claim because the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office had canceled the Baxter patent after a review while the civil suit was still pending, according to Bloomberg.
