Diaverum agrees to run dialysis clinics in Saudi Arabia, UK

European dialysis provider Diaverum has signed a five-year contract to run 50% of the dialysis clinics in Saudi Arabia previously under the management of the state. Diaverum said it would invest to develop the existing infrastructure with a goal to improve medical outcomes. Diaverum will run 93 dialysis centers and care for approximately 5,000 kidney patients. Diaverum said it would also offer vascular access services, holiday dialysis, and maintain pharmacies in the dialysis clinics. The company currently runs 275 clinics in 19 countries.

The dialysis provider has also agreed to manage four more clinics in the United Kingdom. This brings the total number of Diaverum UK clinics to 16 and gives Diaverum a 20% share of the UK market.
