DaVita HealthCare Partners, Centura Health form new joint venture
DaVita HealthCare Partners and Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health have entered into a joint venture agreement, the companies announced Nov. 6. Centura and DaVita HealthCare Partners will jointly own the new entity, which will be based in Colorado.
"Together, Centura Health and DaVita HealthCare Partners will arm primary care providers, specialists and Centura Health acute and ambulatory care facilities with a range of services and tools. These include care coordination, disease management, risk stratification, consumer engagement and more," DaVita said in a statement.
Centura Health works with more than 6,000 physicians and runs more than 15 hospitals and six senior living communities in Colorado and western Kansas, according to The Denver Post.
"We will be rewarding physicians for keeping people out of hospitals," DaVita HCP CEO Kent Thiry told the Post.
