CDC: MRSA infections associated with reuse of single-dose vials
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning health care workers that the use of single-use vials for more than one person has been linked to Staphylococcus aureus infections in 10 patients treated for pain in outpatient clinics. In both investigations, clinicians reported difficulty obtaining the medication type or vial size that best fit their procedural need. Read more in the CDC''s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly report.
