The American Nephrology Nurses' Association notes, "With more people than ever suffering from kidney disease and proposed cuts for treatments looming, this may be one of the most important years in history for legislators to understand what is at stake."

To help educate lawmakers, ANNA is hosting Kidney Disease Awareness and Education (KDAE) Week, from August 5-9. This national event, which has won awards for its far-reaching impact, includes tours of facilities by ANNA members who speak with the policymakers about treatments, pending legislation, and other issues that directly affect their constituents.
