Cleveland has been awarded the 2016 Donate Life Transplant Games, the Transplant Games of America announced. There are two possible dates in consideration and a final decision will be made at a later date.

The 2016 event will be managed by the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.  The commission will partner with Lifebanc, Northeast Ohio's Organ Procurement Organization,  University Hospital Systems, and the Cleveland Clinic.

The 2014 games will be held in Houston July 11–15.
