IDWeek organizers decided unanimously to convert this year’s meeting to a completely virtual event over concerns about COVID-19.

The conference was scheduled for Oct. 21-25 in Philadelphia. The virtual program will still take place Oct. 21-25, starting with a 24-hour COVID-19 event titled “Chasing the Sun,” organizers announced Tuesday.

The decision came on the same day that Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney announced a moratorium on large public events in the city through Feb. 28, 2021.

Registration for IDWeek is open.
