‘Unmasking COVID-19’: Healio to launch new podcast for front-line clinicians
Information about COVID-19 is evolving at a rapid pace. To help physicians stay informed of the latest developments, Healio is launching the Unmasking COVID-19 podcast.
The weekly episodes will feature an infectious disease specialist who will field questions from physicians across numerous specialties about the disease and its impact on specific patient populations.
“As the enormity of the COVID-19 pandemic sinks in and as we feel its impact across the globe, who wouldn’t want to stay on top of the changing health care landscape?” said Infectious Disease News Editorial Board Member Gitanjali Pai MD, AAHIVS, the host of the podcast and an infectious disease physician at Memorial Hospital and Physicians’ Clinic in Stilwell, Oklahoma. “Join us as we discuss mitigation, solutions and new discoveries and approaches to help you better prepare to serve your patients across all specialties.”
This April, Unmasking COVID-19 podcast episodes will cover crucial topics like managing immunocompromised patients, special considerations for rheumatologists, the dangers posed to patients with diabetes, and more.
