Infectious Disease News prepares for ASM Microbe 2019

Infectious Disease News and Healio.com will be onsite in San Francisco at ASM Microbe 2019 to provide live coverage of the latest research presented at the conference, held from June 20 to 24.

ASM Microbe is the largest meeting of microbial biologists in the world, according to conference co-chair David Relman, MD, in a video posted on the conference website. Attendees can expect thousands of poster presentations and scientific sessions exploring every aspect of microbial science.

Last year, our coverage included stories on researchers who “solved” burglaries using the microbiome, findings that implicated kitchen towels as a source of foodborne diseases, and the revelation that bacteriophages may be an “overlooked driver” of Parkinson’s disease. Additionally, the conference boasts a robust and interactive exhibit hall featuring some of the biggest names in the industry.

Through our onsite coverage, the IDN staff will offer readers industry news and study results presented at the meeting, video perspectives with experts in their field and ASM Microbe-centric newswires featuring top headlines from the conference.
