SEATTLE In this video from CROI, Lisa Hightow-Weidman, MD, MPH, associate professor of medicine and health behavior at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, discusses a symposium exploring ways to better engage young men who have sex with men (MSM) in the HIV care and prevention continuum.

Hightow-Weidman gives a brief overview of how technology plays a role in engagement and explores the use of novel tools, such as virtual reality and chat bots.

“Hopefully folks will learn about some of the things available not just in the research setting, but also tools that individual practitioners and clinicians can use to engage their patients,” Hightow-Weidman said.
