SEATTLE — In a brief overview, CROI 2017 Vice Chair Judith S. Currier, MD, professor of medicine and division chief of infectious diseases at the University of California, Los Angeles, and associate director of the UCLA Center for Clinical AIDS Research and Education, discusses key presentations at this year’s conference.

Currier said that several of the presentations will focus on new HIV treatment options, long-term complications of HIV, and new treatment combinations for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis that appear “promising.” Other highlights from the conference include data on hepatitis C, cervical cancer, and more.

Disclosure: Currier reports receiving a research grant to UCLA from Theratechnologies.
