BOSTON — Elaine J. Abrams, MD, professor of pediatrics and epidemiology at Columbia University Medical Center, discusses highlights from a session on pediatric HIV infection presented at the 2016 Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections.

The studies presented during the session evaluated outcomes of the Option B+ approach in Africa, where all pregnant and breast-feeding women are assigned ART, as well as the effects of ART on infants.
