In recent years, data have revealed an emerging epidemic of hepatitis C virus infection among people under the age of 30 years in the United States, primarily related to shifting patterns of injection drug use. The Cover Story dives deep into the growing incidence of HCV in adolescents and young adults, discusses challenges in reaching this patient population and establishes priorities for a public health response.

Read about the patients in whom HCV Next Editorial Board members and other experts are delaying treatment and why in the Feature.

This month's Trend Watch provides a snapshot of recent journal summaries and updates in HCV research. In addition to HCV Next, our editorial team is working hard to report daily news on Healio.com/HCV to keep you posted on developments relevant to the management and treatment of patients with HCV, until the next issue of HCV Next is delivered to your mailbox.
