This has been a landmark year for the care of patients with hepatitis C virus. The development of new drugs is rapidly changing the treatment landscape and important news is released almost daily about different regimens and combinations, improved protocols and screening processes, and more.

With this in mind, SLACK Incorporated, the publishers of HCV Next, made the decision beginning with this issue to increase the frequency of HCV Next to 12 times per year, instead of every other month. In addition to the columns and features you have come to know, our goal is to keep you informed on up-to-the-minute news and developments. You can expect to read more study results, expert perspective, breaking reports from major conferences and more. The September issue also marks the introduction of our In the Journals section on page 30, which should become a destination read for executive summaries of data published in the most important medical journals.
