BOSTON — Beginning Sunday, November 13, Healio.com/Hepatology will provide live coverage from The Liver Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts.

The conference will be held at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center November 11 to November 15 and features a comprehensive program highlighting the latest clinical information and future trends in hepatology.

“The science is terrific and we have really been trying to make it as accessible as possible for people, as convenient as possible so from the standpoint of getting brought up to date in our field, there is no better venue,” Keith D. Lindor, MD, FAASLD, executive vice provost and dean, College of Health Solutions, Arizona State University, and AASLD president, said in a video on the AASLD website.

The conference will feature more than 2,000 presentations and posters from established experts and fellows in the fields of hepatology, including clinical data being presented by HCV Next Editorial Board members. Ira M. Jacobson, MD, Co-Chief Medical Editor, will present a late breaking abstract of results from the POLARIS-2 study, and board member Nancy S. Reau, MD, FAASLD, FAGA, assistant professor of medicine at the University of Chicago, will present a study on the use of proton pump inhibitors and its effect on Merck’s elbasvir and grazoprevir for the treatment of HCV.

For people attending The Liver Meeting for the first time, they should be excited, per Lindor.

“There is lots of exciting information going on within the fields,” Lindor said. “This is the most important reason to be there. …It’s a great venue for learning, but also for connecting.”
