Clinical Care Options announced a new partnership with AASLD which will provide a new education program for providers on how to treat patients with hepatitis C virus infection with new therapies, according to a news release.

The program — Getting Up to Speed on HCV Therapies — is a video module that presents health care providers with an interactive option to learn strategies and best practices for treating patients with HCV. The activity also gives attendees the option to download various resources that can be referenced when treating a patient with HCV genotype 1 with new regimens.

“Based on the past success of our joint educational programs, we are pleased to continue our collaboration with [Clinical Care Options] to create innovative online CME activities for healthcare providers treating hepatitis C,” Keith D. Lindor, MD, FAASLD, president of the AASLD, said in the release. “Getting Up to Speed on HCV Therapies is an interactive video module focused on equipping physician assistants, nurse practitioners and pharmacists with proven strategies and best practices for pretreatment, on-treatment and posttreatment care of patients with hepatitis C.”

Edward King, MD, chief innovation officer at Clinical Care Options said in the release: “Partnering with AASLD brings together our complementary areas of expertise to develop and deliver highly engaging interactive educational programs to improve the care of patients with hepatitis C. We are always delighted to work with leading professional societies and associations to meet our shared goals of supporting clinicians to achieve optimal patient outcomes.”
