SAN FRANCISCO — In this exclusive video, Lynn Gerber, MD, university professor, Center for the Study of Chronic Illness and Disability, George Mason University, and Outcomes Program Medical Director, Beatty Center for Integrated Research, Inova Health System, discusses how prescribed exercise regimens can reduce liver fat.

Gerber explained how clinicians can take an active role in supporting their patients and their lifestyle changes to prevent and reduce nonalcoholic fatty liver and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis by encouraging the best methods.

“You are there as a support for your patients and you can provide them with the information they need not only for exact exercise regimen prescription that’s likely to produce the results possible, but also to enable them to jump the hurdles to make the behavioral change,” Gerber said.
