VIDEO: Molecular profiling may soon guide endometrial cancer treatment decisions

In this video, Robert DeBernardo, MD, discusses the prognostic potential of molecular profiling to treat endometrial cancer, a topic presented at Society of Gynecologic Oncology Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer.

DeBernardo, section head of the department of obstetrics and gynecology and Women’s Health Institute at Cleveland Clinic, expects more research in this area in the coming years.

“We’ve known that these molecular profiles have existed for a while and we’ve recognized that there’s prognostic impacts to them, but now we’re starting to treat people according to these [profiles],” DeBernardo said.
