Oncology operations expert receives 2024 Future Five Award
Medical Group Management Association has awarded Disha Sawhney, FACHDM, FRSPH, with the 2024 Future Five Award.
The award honors “five professionals within the first few years of their career who have had a positive influence on their organization or the industry,” according to a press release.
Sawhney, manager of service line operations at Fox Chase Cancer Center, is being recognized for serving as “a catalyst for positive change in medical practice management and [inspiring] others to make meaningful changes in the health care community,” according to the release.
Sawhney oversees service lines and leads improvement initiatives within the gastrointestinal and genitourinary oncology department at Fox Chase Cancer Center, where she works to enhance the quality of care for patients with cancer with sustainable improvements that align with the institution’s goals.
“It is a distinct honor to be recognized with this award among my peers,” Sawhney said in the release. “I am grateful to work alongside several leaders at Fox Chase who never cease to inspire me. I am deeply committed to continuing to drive meaningful improvements that enhance patient care and support the broader goals of our organization. This award motivates me to keep pushing for innovation and excellence in everything we do to transform health care delivery and equity.”
