PHILADELPHIA — In this video, Cassie Kline, MD, MAS, discusses the results of the PNOC005 trial she presented at International Symposium on Pediatric Neuro-Oncology.

The phase 1 trial investigated the “safety and tolerability of intratumoral or intrathecal administration of oncolytic measles virus in children and young adults with recurrent medulloblastoma or atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor,” according to the abstract.

“[O]ncolytic viruses are certainly an exciting way in which we want to think about utilizing either a virus itself or a virus as an immune-stimulatory agent against central nervous system tumors,” Kline, a pediatric neuro-oncology attending and director of neuro-oncology clinical research at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, said.
