PHILADELPHIA — In this video, Cassie Kline, MD, MAS, highlights the important takeaways from International Symposium on Pediatric Neuro-Oncology.

According to Kline, presentations and panel discussions catered to multiple disciplines and spanned across subspecialties in the field, including basic science, clinical research, nursing and palliative care.

“We were able to address a lot of long-standing questions about things related to potential decreased radiation in certain types of medulloblastoma,” Kline, a pediatric neuro-oncology attending physician and director of neuro-oncology clinical research at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, said.

“Additionally, I think we had a beautiful platform for a lot of the molecular underpinnings that are being explored in some of our hardest-to-treat tumors like high-grade gliomas and diffuse midline gliomas,” she added.
