Daphne Haas-Kogan, MD, MBA, has been appointed chair of the department of radiation oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital and chief of enterprise radiation oncology for Mass General Brigham.

“The focus of my entire career has been to provide leading-edge, patient-centered care that leverages the latest innovations with a compassionate, customized approach for our patients,” Haas-Kogan said in a press release. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with caregivers across our system to advance that work.”

Haas-Kogan has served as combined chair of radiation oncology for Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since 2015. She also is professor of radiation oncology at Harvard Medical School.

Her research has focused primarily on brain tumors and pediatric cancer.
