In this video, Eunice Wang, MD, discussed an abstract relating to new chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapies treating acute lymphocytic leukemia, presented at ASCO Annual Meeting.
Wang, chief of the leukemia service at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, highlighted data regarding the effectiveness of obecabatagene autoleucel (AUTO1; Autolus Therapeutics) — also known as obe-cel — therapy, which she said showed a very promising outlook for its role in treating ALL.
“That study is still in early development, but did suggest that newer, better CARs — a new line of CARS — may be waiting in the wings for our patients,” Wang said.
