Thyroid cancer specialist joins Jefferson Health

Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center — Jefferson Health appointed Marcia Brose, MD, PhD, vice chair of medical oncology and regional chief of cancer services at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.

Brose also will serve as medical co-director of community clinical research in the cancer center’s clinical research organization. In this role, she will facilitate clinical research studies at the cancer center’s advanced care hubs to ensure the clinical trials at these sites serve their communities.

Brose is recognized for her expertise in thyroid cancers, rare cancers and personalized therapy.

She previously held several appointments at Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania, including professor of otorhinolaryngology — head and neck surgery, director of head and neck clinical trials, director of the thyroid cancer therapeutics program, and director of Center for Rare Cancers and Personalized Medicine at Abramson Cancer Center. She also served as co-director of the advanced pediatrics thyroid cancer therapeutics clinic at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Abramson Cancer Center.
