In this video, Upal Basu Roy, PhD, MPH, executive director of research at LUNGevity Foundation, discusses the role of air pollution in the rise of lung cancer incidence.
A plenary talk at this year’s International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer World Conference on Lung Cancer highlighted the number of lung cancer deaths that can be attributed to particulate matter pollution.
“[It] was a great call to action for all of us that air pollution is here to stay unless we do something and lung cancer caused by air pollution is just going to be on the rise,” he said.
