Oncology Nursing Society presents research award

Christopher R. Friese, PhD, RN, AOCN, FAAN, received this year’s Oncology Nursing Society’s ONS Research Award.
The award, presented during the virtual Oncology Nursing Society Congress, recognizes the contributions of a society member who conducts or promotes research that enhances the science and practice of oncology nursing.
Friese is professor of nursing at University of Michigan, associate director for cancer control and population sciences at University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center, and director of Center for Improving Patient and Population Health in the university’s school of nursing.
The award includes a $2,000 prize, a plaque and travel reimbursement to attend the ONS Annual Congress.
