Cleveland Clinic announces leadership appointments

Brian Bolwell, MD, FACP, has been appointed chair of physician leadership and development in the Mandel Global Leadership and Learning Institute at Cleveland Clinic.
The appointment will take effect May 1.
In this newly created role, Bolwell will guide the ongoing development of physician leaders to amplify their leader practices. He will work with Beri Ridgeway, MD — Cleveland Clinic’s chief of staff — to advance professional staff leadership across the enterprise.
Bolwell has served as chairman of Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute since 2010. In 2019, he also became director of physician leadership and development.
A search committee has been established to choose a new chair of Taussig Cancer Institute.
Jame Abraham, MD, has been named interim chair. Abraham is chairman of Cleveland Clinic’s department of hematology and medical oncology.
