In this video, Kelly K. Hunt, MD, FACS, FSSO, professor and chair of the department of breast surgical oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, spoke with Healio on her predictions of hot topics in metastatic breast cancer at the 38th Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference.
“One of the areas is in DNA damage response and repair, and that's definitely something that is being incorporated into the treatment of patients. It's an area that's evolving that definitely is going to have more movement in the field in the coming year,” Hunt said.
