Multiple myeloma specialist receives excellence award
Saad Z. Usmani, MD, FACP, received the Multiple Myeloma Excellence Award from the International Congress on Controversies in Multiple Myeloma.
The award is presented annually to an outstanding physician-scientist whose clinical work and innovative research has contributed significantly to progress in the field of multiple myeloma and plasma cell dyscrasias.

Usmani — a HemOnc Today Editorial Board Member — is chief of the plasma cell disorder program and director of clinical research in hematologic malignancies at Levine Cancer Institute at Atrium Health, as well as clinical professor of medicine at University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
