In this video, Roy S. Herbst, MD, PhD, discussed how the 21st annual International Lung Cancer Congress went virtual this year.
“With ASCO and ACR also being virtual, people have not been able to come together to discuss some of the recent data,” Herbst, ensign professor of medicine and professor of pharmacology, and chief of medical oncology at Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital, and associate cancer center director for translational research at Yale Cancer Center, said.
Herbst noted discussions on early stage lung cancer and adjuvant therapy, highlighting findings from the ADUARA trial that were presented at ASCO in June.
“We had a really good discussion on that in a multi-modality way with surgeons ... [and] radiation oncologists,” he said.
