Fox Chase Cancer Center announced two faculty appointments.
Dylan R. Sherry, MD, will join the pain and palliative care program in the department of hematology/oncology as assistant professor on the academic clinician track.
Sherry — who previously worked as a hospitalist at Abington Memorial Hospital — is board certified in internal medicine, and board eligible in hospice and palliative medicine.
He received his medical degree and master’s degree in bioethics from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency and hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Usman Ali, MD, will serve as assistant professor in the division of hospital medicine within the department of medicine.
Ali worked as a contracted hospitalist at Fox Chase from 2016 to 2019. He was an internal medicine resident at Capital Health System in New Jersey from 2013 to 2016. He completed his clinical research fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center.
Ali is board certified to practice medicine in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is also certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.
