Cancer Treatment Centers of America announces two promotions


Cancer Treatment Centers of America Global Inc. announced the promotion of two clinicians to national leadership positions.
Alan Yahanda, MD, FACS, chief of staff at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Atlanta, has been named chair of the department of surgery.
Yahanda, a surgical oncologist, previously served as assistant chief of service in the department of surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Arturo Loaiza-Bonilla, MD, MSEd, FACP, chief of medical oncology and medical director of research at Cancer Treatment Centers of America Philadelphia, has been promoted to vice chair of the department of medical oncology.
Loaiza-Bonilla, a medical oncologist, previously served as assistant professor of clinical medicine at Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania.
