Marcus Neubauer, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of The US Oncology Network.

Neubauer, a medical oncologist for more than 20 years, previously led the network’s practice in Kansas City, Mo. For the past 5 years, he served as vice president and medical director for payer, clinical services and value-based care.

Neubauer — also is associate clinical professor for Seattle Cancer Care Alliance — is recognized for his expertise in clinical pathways and value-based care.

“I am thrilled to be continuing my career with The US Oncology Network in this leadership role,” Neubauer said in a press release. “It’s an exciting opportunity for me to help guide the network’s approach to cancer treatment amid the many changes in the health care environment to ensure comprehensive high-quality, value-based care in the community setting.”
