Breast surgeon joins Atlantic Health System Cancer Care

Rebecca C. Yang, MD, joined Atlantic Breast Associates at Overlook Medical Center and Carol G. Simon Cancer Center, part of Atlantic Health System Cancer Care.
Yang, a full-time breast surgeon, previously served as director of the Comprehensive Breast Health Center at Lahey Medical Center in Massachusetts.
Yang’s clinical interests includes surgical procedures to treat breast cancer. She has expertise in advanced surgical procedures such as sentinel lymph node biopsies and nipple-sparing mastectomies.
She also is interested in the role of integrative therapy in the management and survivorship care planning for women with breast cancer.
“Dr. Yang brings years of surgical expertise and leadership in the field of breast surgery to our cancer care team,” Eric Whitman, MD, medical director of Atlantic Health System Cancer Care, said in a press release. “The vast experience, knowledge, and compassion that she brings to the clinical team and her patients will be an asset to the breast care program at Atlantic Health System.”
