Theresa M. McDonnell, DNP, has been named chief nurse executive and vice president of clinical operations at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

McDonnell will oversee all nursing staff, guide patient care delivery, oversee general clinical quality and patient safety, and ensure staff accountability for maintaining a patient-centered clinical practice environment.

“From the moment I walked through Seattle Cancer Care Alliance’s doors, I knew it was a special place,” McDonnell said in a press release. “The patient-centered culture of warmth and kindness is infectious.”

McDonnell previously served as director of cancer center clinical services at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her clinical interest is pancreatic cancer.
