Roswell Park official receives diversity leadership award
David Scott, director of the office of diversity and inclusion at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, received the Global Diversity Leadership Award from the World HRD Congress.
Scott received the award for providing increased career opportunities for people from underserved groups, as well as enhancing the culture of inclusion and acceptance at Roswell Park. He expanded career opportunities for minorities at Roswell Park by organizing job fairs, paid internship programs, job training events and outreach programs.
“We congratulate David, not only for this prestigious award but also for his ongoing efforts to embrace and expand diversity and inclusion at Roswell Park,” Errol Douglass, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Roswell Park’s vice president of human resources management, said in a press release.
