Krisha J. Howell, MD, has been appointed assistant professor in Fox Chase Cancer Center’s department of radiation oncology.

Howell, a board-certified radiation oncologist, previously served as clinical assistant professor in the department of radiation oncology at University of Arizona Medical Center.

“Dr. Howell strengthens our team with her extensive background and experience, specifically in brachytherapy,” Eric M. Horwitz, MD, chair of radiation oncology at Fox Chase, said in a press release. “She will be a great addition to the department of radiation oncology and the center.”

Howell completed her radiation oncology residency at Medical University of South Carolina, and she completed a fellowship in brachytherapy at Princess Margaret Hospital in Canada.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to build on over a century’s worth of progress made by Fox Chase Cancer Center,” Howell said in the release. “I look forward to working with Dr. Horwitz and my colleagues in the department of radiation oncology and across the center to offer the best care for patients.”
