Cary A. Presant , MD, FACP, FASCO, received the David King Community Clinical Scientist Award from the Association of Community Cancer Centers.

The award recognizes Presant’s leadership in the development, participation and evaluation of clinical studies for patients with cancer.

Presant — a former president of the association — is assistant clinical professor at City of Hope, as well as professor of clinical medicine at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.

Presant serves on the board of the Medical Oncology Association of Southern California. He is past president of the California Division of the American Cancer Society, as well as past president and chairman of the Board of Medical Oncology Association of Southern California. He served a 5-year term as ASCO’s representative to the AMA’s House of Delegates.
