The Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses presented Beth A. Siever, MSN, RN, CPNP, with its Dr. Casey Hooke Distinguished Service Award.

The award recognizes an association member who demonstrated excellence in service and leadership of the association.

Siever, a pediatric nurse practitioner at Children’s National Medical Center, has been an active association member since 1992. Siever has been instrumental in helping the association leverage its advocacy efforts.

“Beth is your ‘go to’ person if you want a job done and done well,” association past president Casey Hooke, PhD, APRN, CNS, CPON, the person for whom the award is named, said in a press release. “All who know her can attest to her joyful enthusiasm for pediatric oncology patients and the professional nurses who care for them.”
