Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center names associate director for clinical sciences research

Maha H. Hussain, MD, has been named associate director for clinical sciences research at Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern University.

Hussain — a HemOnc Today Editorial Board member — also will serve as chair of the department of urology and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, as well as co-director of Lurie Cancer Center’s genitourinary oncology program.

Hussain is recognized for her research related to the development of novel therapeutics for prostate and bladder cancers.

She previously served as professor of oncology, as well as professor of medicine and urology, at University of Michigan. She also had served as associate director for clinical research, as well as co-leader of the prostate cancer and genitourinary oncology program at University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.
