Huntsman Cancer institute appoints executive director

Ben Tanner has been appointed executive director of Huntsman Cancer Institute at University of Utah.
Tanner replaced Ray Lynch, who retired after 13 years in the position.
Tanner served as operating officer of the cancer hospital for more than a decade. He also has served as director of clinical operations and director of the oncology service line.
“We are so pleased that Ben has accepted this well-deserved promotion and additional responsibility as he joins the senior leadership team at University of Utah Health Care,” Gordon Crabtree, interim chief executive officer of University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, said in a press release. “We have every expectation that under Ben's exceptional leadership, the skilled physicians and professionals at the cancer hospital will continue to provide exceptional cancer care to our community.”
