Fox Chase Cancer Center announced two staff appointments.

Christopher J. Manley, MD, has been named director of interventional pulmonology in the department of medicine.

“Dr. Manley’s expertise in pulmonary medicine makes him the perfect candidate for our new director of interventional pulmonology,” David S. Weinberg, MD, MSc, chair of the department of medicine, said in a press release.

Manley completed his interventional pulmonology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital. He also completed a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at Tufts Medical Center and an internal medicine residency at Loyola University in Chicago.

“Fox Chase is a cancer center dedicated to excellence,” Manley said in the release. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to work with Dr. Weinberg and the rest of the pulmonology team.”

Kristen J. Scully Manley, MD, joined the department of medicine as a hospitalist.

“Dr. Manley’s excellence in patient care is evident by her many accolades,” Weinberg said. “We very much look forward to working with her.”

Manley previously served as a member of the hospitalist team in the division of general medicine and primary care at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she was selected clinician of the year in 2015. She also served as an instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to work with Dr. Weinberg and the rest of the staff at Fox Chase,” Manley said in the release.
