Healio.com to introduce Healio Learn Genomics at ASCO
Healio.com, the online home of HemOnc Today, will introduce Healio Learn Genomics at the 2016 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, June 3-7 in Chicago. This one-of-a-kind resource offers physicians a guide for understanding basic to advanced cancer genomics.
Healio Learn Genomics is led by Edward S. Kim, MD, chair of the Department of Solid Tumor Oncology and Investigational Therapeutics at Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Cancer Institute. Kim has a vast interest in novel targeted agents and has served as lead investigator on numerous clinical studies.

“Cancer genomics is a rapidly evolving landscape,” Kim said. “At Healio Learn Genomics, physicians will find a solid foundation for understanding the emerging science as well as the tools they need to incorporate that knowledge into their diagnosis and treatment of different cancer types.”
Through curriculum-based module learning and assessments, physicians and other healthcare practitioners will learn about the basics of genomics as well as pathology of tumor tissues, whole genome sequencing, evidence-guided cancer profiling technologies and genomic medicine uses in clinical practice.
Healio Learn Genomics is an ever-expanding resource that will grow and evolve with the field. Look for it at LearnGenomics.com.
