NEW ORLEANS — The HemOnc Today and Healio.com/HemOnc team will present comprehensive live coverage from the American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting.

The theme of this year’s meeting is “Delivering Cures through Cancer Science.” An estimated 19,000 people — including clinicians, scientists and advocates — are expected to attend.

The program will highlight research and clinical advances related to every aspect of cancer. More than 6,000 papers from researchers worldwide will be presented.

Vice President Joe Biden will speak to meeting attendees on April 20 about the national cancer moonshot initiative. The effort — which President Barack Obama unveiled during his State of the Union in January — is designed to dramatically accelerate the progress of cancer research.

The HemOnc Today and Healio.com/HemOnc team will produce traditional articles and video commentaries from the meeting. We also will provide perspectives from experts who put study results in context and offer insights into how findings will affect patient care.

Our live coverage will begin April 17. Come back to Healio.com/HemOnc during and after the meeting for updates.
