Robert Seeger, MD, division head for basic and translational research of the Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, received the 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium.

The award recognizes Seeger for a career that exemplifies the mission of the consortium to support research and education to improve the availability, safety and efficacy of hematopoietic cell transplantation and other cellular therapeutics for children and adolescents.

Robert Seeger, MD

Seeger has served as director of the cancer research program in The Saban Research Institute of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles since 1995.

He is known for his expertise in cancer immunotherapy and genetics, as well as his understanding and treatment of neuroblastoma. In 2000, he co-founded the New Approaches to Neuroblastoma Therapy Consortium.
