Cleveland Clinic announced two faculty appointments.
Timothy Gilligan, MD, has been appointed vice chairman of education for Cleveland Clinic’s Taussig Cancer Institute. He will oversee and support the institute’s education activities, which include fellowship and residency programs; medical student and resident rotations; continuing education programs; and faculty development activities.

James Stevenson
Gilligan, a medical oncologist, specializes in genitourinary cancers in general and testis cancer in particular. He has appointments in the departments of urology and bioethics.
James Stevenson, MD, has been appointed vice chairman of the department of hematology and medical oncology at Cleveland Clinic’s Taussig Cancer Institute. Stevenson will assist the chairman and department administrator in operations, which include managing and coordinating disease-specific programs and duties of advanced practice providers within the department. He also will focus on the clinical, academic and administrative development of junior faculty members.
Stevenson joined Cleveland Clinic’s hematology and medical oncology staff in 2012. A medical oncologist, he specializes in lung cancer and mesothelioma.
